Mi Ryung An '96 Favorite Place @ Dartmouth For fun - tie between Steve/Kwang's freshmen year play room & judy/jenie's River play room; for R&R comfy green chairs in the tower room (is that what it's called the top floor in baker ) Favorite Food @ Dartmouth Hot&Sour soup from Panda House & curly fries from the HOP Comments I love Dartmouth but Rollins Chapel freaks me out. Paul Lim '96 Favorite Place @ Dartmouth Collis (where they used to have a Grand Piano) - Jon Jun '98 and I used to do ad-hoc Frank Sinatra, Erasure, or anything else there... ahhh, those were the days... Sanborne Library - The 4 O'clock tea time is something truly special.... Baker Tower Room - As I recall places I've studied, none are as serene, stately, and beautiful as the Tower Room in Baker Library... Favorite Food @ Dartmouth Well... The DDS eating establishments have changed names since I was there... But my fondest memories are of 1) Full Fare (Full Boot), the veritable all-you-can-eat smorgasbord of fat, cholesterol, and carbohydrates designed specifically to make 'shmen as FAT as humanly possible.... I think this is now called West Side (Wes Syyyeeeee) or something like that... 2) The Hop... 2 words... HOP FRIES! another two words... HOP CLAM CHOWDUH! awwwww YEAH! I've lived all over the country, and I have yet to find a bowl of clam chowder as tasty and creamy as that which is served almost daily at the Hop... (Cursed are the days when the clam chowder is actually replaced by corn chowder... ) Comments Don't live your life "Gospel +". The Gospel is a simple message of Grace and Freedom... Adding additional requirements that aren't in the Bible will simply weigh you down and fill you with guilt, shame, and frustration. You cannot change your heart, only God can... Additionally, if God has forgiven you, why is it that you cannot forgive yourself There is no need for penance where God does not ask for it. Also, live life OUTSIDE THE BOX. People talk about taking different pre-defined paths in life (e.g. asian parents)... but don't be afraid to blaze your own path... Don't be afraid to have ideas that other people haven't had before. Don't be afraid to "be the first in your family" to go into xyz... film, politcs, music, etc... Finally, Stay close to the path... A lot has been said about staying on the narrow path of Righteousness. But sometimes, seeing where that path is going is difficult or unclear... But for those of us that know Jesus, things are a bit different... Jesus says He IS the way... He IS the path... Stay close to Him when you cannot see what's ahead. He IS the path. The path is not some road we travel down. The path is a person... Jesus. It doesn't matter if you can see forward or backward, as long as you can see Him. Trust that He will do what will glorify God and that he will always take care of you... He will never fail you...
