    Foundation Course on Nurturing Gifted Learners 培育资优生基础课程

    The purpose of the Course is to enhance the knowledge and skills of teachers in nurturing gifted learners with an emphasis on curriculum differentiation. The topics to be covered include the conceptions of giftedness; curriculum planning and adaptation for gifted learners; strategies for teaching and nurturing gifted learners; relevant curriculum/programme evaluation methods; and teacher experience and resources sharing in developing, conducting and evaluating programmes/curricula for gifted learners. Upon completion of the Course, participants are expected to be able to: understand the characteristics of gifted learners; plan programmes/curricula for gifted learners; employ appropriate teaching and guidance strategies for nurturing the talent and socialemotional development of gifted learners; evaluate programmes/curricula for gifted learners. Course participants will be required to design a school-based gifted education programme, try out selected aspects of their proposed programme in their own school, and report on their practicum roughly three months from the completion of the first 10 sessions of the Course. 本课程旨在提升教师培育资优生的知及技巧.课程内容著重探讨「适性课程」, 包括资优概,资优生的课程计画及调适,培育资优生的策,资优教育课程设计及 评鉴,以及有关发展,推及评估资优生的活动/课程的教师经验及资源分享等.学 员完成课程后,应能: 解资优生的特徵; 为资优生设计活动/课程; 采用适当的教学和辅导策,以培育资优生的才能和促进其社交及个人情意发展; 评鉴为资优生而设的活动/课程. 加学员需设计一项校本资优教育计画及试当中部份活动,以及在完成十个课节约 三个月后汇报该份计画设计及实习经验.

    Primary and secondary curriculum leaders/coordinators or teachers who are interested in nurturing gifted learners. In view of the fact that pairing up teachers from the same school will facilitate the implementation and development of school-based gifted education programmes/curricula, priority will be given to schools having two teacher nominees (including a curriculum leader/coordinator) with the same choice of event. Priority will also be given to school teachers who are responsible for school-based gifted education programmes. Please refer to the course application form for details regarding the selection process. 小学及中学课程导/统筹教师或对培育资优生有兴趣的教师.鉴於同校教师可组合并 实施和发展校本资优培育活动/课程,所以学校能同时提名位教师(包括一位负责课 程发展的教师)加同一场次,将获优先考虑.负责校本资优教育课程的教师亦会获优 先考虑.请阅报名表内明的取细则. 36 per course event (每场次) 36 (12 three-hour sessions) (十二 个三小时课节) An extra 6 hours will be granted as action learning hours to course participants who are able to successfully complete the practicum, project presentation and project report. 能成功完成实习,汇报及报告书的学员,将可获额外 6 小时的实践学习时.
